The Congressional Budget Office has just released two closely related reports. The first estimates that Trump's proposed budget would add $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next ten years. The second report estimates that Trump's tariffs would raise $2.6 trillion over the next ten years. In other words, the hidden sales tax imposed on all Americans in the form of Trump's tariffs, combined with cuts in aid to America's poorest citizens, could cover the $2.4 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and a hefty increase in defense and homeland security spending without raising the deficit.

Where are the lowly Democrats? Where are the commercials specifying the tariff taxes they will pay ? Where are the commercials stating that raising taxes on the rich solves this. Answer — they are nowhere …
